I had a conversation with Dwight Silverman last Friday night. He’s a Computer Columnist for the Houston Chronicle as well as their Blog Guru. Thing to note, The Houston Chronicle won an award on being the newspaper with the best blogs. I was particular intrigued by the Blog Coverage of the Enron Trial the Chronicle did. If you are tech geek, Dwight’s Techblog is a fun read. Of course, Richard Justice, Sports Columnist has a blog, SportsJustice on the Chronicle site as well.
Anyway, Dwight told me that he had the pleasure of setting up a Chronicle Blog for former Manager and current Astros Broadcaster, Larry Dierker. I have read some of Larry’s post thus far, and it just reminds me how much of a fan of Dierker’s, I am.
Larry Dierker also has a new book out, My Team:My Dream Team From My Forty Years In Baseball. I have not picked up the book, but I do plan to purchase a copy. For those that are curious, Dierker did write another book, This Ain’t Brain Surgery : How to Win the Pennant Without Losing Your Mind.
Well, I would suggest any Astros Fans should go read the Chronicle’s New Blogger, Larry Dierker!
