Hello all,
According to Fox Sports and MLB Trade Rumors, the Houston Astros are in talks with the Baltimore Orioles about Miguel Tejada. Nothing has be decided up yet but the Astros have offered Chris Burke, Adam Everett and a Pitcher.
The Astros have been looking at Tejada as far back as 2006, even with a trade involving Roy Oswalt and Adam Everett. Apparently, that deal didn’t work because Baltimore didn’t like Everett. Maybe they’ll like him now and approve the trade.
Just some thoughts. Assuming this rumor has some truth to it, I just wonder what pitcher the Astros have in mind for the trade. Also is Wade doing too much too soon?

I think Wade is doing what Purpura should have been doing the last two years. It looks like a new astros team and they are getting their offense to look really strong. Think about what Tejada would do for the line up. Bourne, Pence, Matsui, Berkman, Lee, Tejada (that would be a strong 6 man line up).
Also regaurding Matsui .. Coors field is not like any other ball park. The ball travels differently in the dry thin air. Once he finds the humidity he will get his mojo and be the dominating player he was when he batted .345 in 2006! He also looked great and very consistant in the post season. That is the biggest problem with the astros is consistancy.
As far as the podcasts go…I pretty much agree with you guys on everything. I’m excited about Bourne. AS far as the callers, was that really Pete Harnish? Can you guys do a special podcast episode with him? Also, so what if you guys are Loft people … I’m a Loft person! (Bayou Lofts)
LOL,
Thanks Al.
I am nervous about Tejada. Also, as much as he is on the trading block, he would be traded by now. Especially, some of the offers rumored. I just don’t think their GM has the B**** to pull it off.
