Another good outing for Wandy Rodriguez, seven innings and five strikeouts but it’s was Carlos Lee’s grand slam that broke the game open as the Astros won 11-6. They look to sweep and cut the deficit to one game behind the division leading Cardinals.
Note: Matsui injured his right knee on a foul ball.

Carlos Lee hit a towering 3-run homer down the left field line and that was all she wrote as the Astros bullpen held the cardinals in a 3-2.
Note: Berkman’s calf injury will sit him a couple of more games. Astros put Erstad on the DL.

The Astros lead 3-0 early but the Dodger fought back scoring a run each in the 3, 5, and 7th to tie the game, scoring the winning run in the 8th. This was enough as the Astros lost 4-3.
